January 28th, 2012 Another great year, despite the bad weather on Friday
After an impressive 260 guests coming to the show on our first day, we were very worried about attendance on Friday. Weather conditions calling for snow, freezing rain and high winds up to 100km. Some were considering earlier flights out and emails were coming in to explain change of schedule. Coming Friday morning, all was calm and our guests did show up. Morning seminars were filled. Snow move in with high winds which quickly turned to freezing rain by early afternoon, but it didn't stop our diehard enthusiast to show up. By the end of the day, another 240 new guests as well as returning seminar attendees made for a nice crowd for our second day. Thank-you to all that showed up despite the bad weather and for making all the hard work from our suppliers worthwhile. Many have already confirmed they're returning next year and were all pleased by the results. Again thanks, for making the show the number 1 trade event in Eastern Canada again this year.
January 25th, 2012 Last day before the show and over 200 registered for seminars
I would first like to thank our guests from the maritimes for responding overwhelmingly to this years seminars. We have over 200 people attending various subjects, which is a record year for us. Many rooms maybe standing room only. Again merci - thank you from the team at Tour Tech East and their suppliers. We are still taking registrations both today and tomorrow, so register online and see you all tomorrow and Friday. We have confirmed all pre-registered guests. If you havan't received a personal confirmation from Pierre-Louis, then you didn't include your email address. Try again. Please advise us if any chnages in your schedule, as in seminar cancellations, it would be greatly appreciated.

At 40 meters is enough for displays in lobbies atriums, historic buildings, events, etc., Check the bottom of the Exhibitor showcase web page for details. He will have it at the show.

January 17th, 2012 Where to find Cominno Technology and Vellone Communications?
Landry Solutions booth or the seminar rooms.
Here's the scope. In past years, Pierre-Louis Landry of Landry Solutions, would present the "Industry Trends and Emerging Technologies" seminar. He often came across hot products, great technologies, cool softwares and products that just made sense for the television industry as well as commercial AV. Though he no longer does the annual report, now that he concentrates his efforts dealing with online marketing efforts for businesses including dealers, distributors and manufacturers as well as seminar co-ordination contracts, he still has an eye for what's hot and provides a promising solution. So when he organizes the seminar section of the All Access Show, he starts off by convincing well known, industry respected veterans to come to Halifax to share their insights and talk about solutions for different technical issues. This year, Richard Baker from Cominno Technology returns to cover some of the broadcast video challenges such as PSIP issues, and delivering broadcast video and files over IP. John Vellone of Vellone communications explores new possibilities in wireless digital audio conferencing and distribution trends such as HDMI over IP to connect live sources to multiple displays and Digital signage player technologies. That said, if you check the schedule, both Richard and John are in seminar rooms speaking between 11h30 to 13h30, while Pierre-Louis of Landry Solutions is basically never at his booth, since he'll presenting the business related topics on websites & visibility on Google, social media and doing website audits from 10h30 to 15h30. So if you want to meet any of them, and check out some of their solutions, then come by after 13h30 for Richard and John. As for Pierre-Louis, easier to just go to one of his information packed seminars.
January 13th, 2012 New seminar title for Sony's seminar.
What was originally called "Sony: Choosing the right format and cameras" has now been replaced by "Sony HD camera family line-up, from camcorders to new accessories". Those who were originally pre-registered for the old title are automatically signed up for this one. So don't worry about the changes.
January 13th, 2012 Change of rooms for the Broadcast Emmy award winner Panasonic.
As for Panasonic, we had originally forced them to the Commercial AV room due to a scheduling problem in the Broadcast Seminar room. Since they should have been with the broadcast (Video) group, we managed to put them back to their respective seminar group, both to eliminate confusion and less room changes for the attendees. So to make it up to our friends at Panasonic, some extra news.
Yesterday on January 12, direct from Las Vegas, Panasonic was awarded a Technology & Engineering Emmy Award for its pioneering development of removable solid-state media for video camera/recorders. The Emmy was specifically presented for the company's creation of the P2 video recording format. To read more details on how P2 changed the world of video production and broadcast, I recommend reading the following news clip from Business Wire concerning the Emmy Award and the reasons P2 made such an impact in todays professional video market. Panasonic's P2 Recording Format Honored with Technology & Engineering Emmy Award in todays issue of Marketwatch.
January 13th, 2012 Long time Tour Tech East supplier Altman Lighting, brings a lighting veteran to our seminar line-up

An active member of the NY Chapter of the IES and serves on the organizational committee for its annual LUMEN Awards gala, Thomas M. Casazza, Northeast Regional Sales Manager for Altman Lighting, Inc. will be a pleasant addition to our seminar line-up at 14h00 to discuss "Conventional Stage Lighting Fixtures 101 and beyond". Since the Staging, Lighting and Audio Studio D is complete, the description and registration link is within the Commercial AV seminars.
January 12th, 2012 Airstar International joining the fun
Having a special event and want to stand out of the crowd. What better way than to have inflated and illuminated balloons for either indoor or outdoor applications. Illuminate a particular place, enhance a site as décor lighting, signage or even be used as safety lighting. Doesn't have to be shaped as a balloon, how about a giant jelly fish, Luminaire tubes used in car commercials, flying banners and flags. Airstar also makes inflatable Domes which can host 500 people, Glare-free light over 360° for Search and Rescue operations and construction sites. How about a flying 6x6m mattress for cinema, television and photography shoots, or lighting exterior sets like the Titanic, or Pirates of the Caribbean out at sea?. Even Tour Tech East will have their new Airstar International illuminated balloon at the show.
January 11th, 2012 New seminar addition for the staging and lighting directors.
Lighting, video and LED control at your fingertips, the compact Chamsys MagicQ MQ100 Pro console
Just added to the line-up of seminars, Theatrixx will be presenting an overview of a compact console which controls your lights, LED displays and optional media servers. Being held from 15h30 to 16h30 on both days in Studio D (Staging, Lighting and Audio Group). Iwill advise the many who have already pre-registered of the new addition.
January 11th, 2012 New Trade show hours. Thursday 10 to 5 and Friday 10 to 4.
It's not rock'n'roll if there are no schedule changes. The previously advertised show times have been changed to reflect a more manageable schedule for both our guests, exhibitors and staff. After a full day of intense seminars, great demos, and networking, at one point you get information overload. So wrap-up on Thursday is now at 5 pm and Friday remains at 4 pm. Sorry for any inconvenience, but we want our staff to be in top shape and alert the next day. For many working behind the scene at the show, it's a long week.
January 7th, 2012 Download your Time Table version of the schedule in pdf
When making your choices for the different seminars, it's sometime helpful to see an hourly schedule to make sure you don't have any conflicts when going from room to room. This convenient Time Table not only shows which semianrs start at what time but a quick visul guide to each seminr duration (some run for 30 minutes, while most are 1 hour, we do have a couple which ast 1h30 and 2 hours. Also you can print the pdf and bring it with you to the show. All Access Show 2012 Seminar Time Table

December 28th, 2011 More parking space available this year. Tour Tech East moves their offices across the street
Tour Tech East made a huge investment in 2011 with the purchase of the ScanWood facility (the IKEA furniture manufacturing plant) across the street. What represents 8 times the size the their present building, the christmas break, well wasn't really a break at Tour Tech East, since everyone pitch in to move the offices to the new building. The show will remain in the old building for this year's event, but the added facility will provide for much appreciated parking space. Expect big news in 2012 such as new location shooting studio for films and television productions and rehearsal studio for touring artists.
December 11, 2011 Landry Solutions to co-ordinate Tour Tech East's "All Access Show 2012" seminars
Tour Tech East's "All Access Show" is the largest gathering of audio, video and corporate communications professionals and enthusiasts in the maritimes. Both a trade show and educational seminars for end-users as well as integrators dedicated to the providers of technology solutions from concert halls, auditoriums, governement institutions, corporate boardrooms, recording studios, and every aspect of television production, the show now has it's own dedicated web site, created and maintained by Landry Solutions. www.allaccessshow.com
December 10, 2011 Luckily we kept the 2-day format last year, since a snow storm on Thursday, made drivng conditions a major problem.
Besides the snow storm on our first day of last year's event, our industry ethuasist still managed their way on the hazardous roads to make last year's event a continued success with over 500 antendees. About 150 attendees could be found in our meeting rooms where were offered 27 seminars and great customer response, Peter Hendrickson, President of Tour Tech East, decided to keep a good thing going with a repeat performance this year. So choose what works out best for you the Thursday or Friday and mark your calendars for another great show
Note 1: All audiovisual gear (projectors, wireless system and portable sound) as well as most of the large screen displays on the exhibit floor rooms are provided by our good friends at Basil Audio Visual. Year after year they come through for us and are happy they are back again to give us a hand. Mike Langille's team at Basil AV can be reached at (902) 471-1338.
Note 2: Please park behind our building (entrance from the Orland Street), because street parking is very limited and we also need to keep our limited private parking space for our ongoing business, deliveries and our staging staff which need to come and go.
